I have twice played at a casino and both time went positive in money.
I also played a few times with friends and got to the upper players and won a few times.(we played single table style)

Poker is one of those games, where its maybe easier to win, but also much easier to loose against new or non experienced players.
New players think the game is all about bluffing and do it alll the time. Therefore you play a real game of luck with them.
Experienced players try to tell a story with their plays and understand bluffing is not 7and J all in at random.

So its funny but its probably easier to read pro players than newbies. Just because newbies have a wide variety of what they think is valid bluff, while pro players at least still keep chances in their head and see what is just completly not in their favour even if its slightly possible. Thats why I said its easier to win against newbies, but also easier to loose because you have situations where its all about a slight chance and they hit it. Something more experienced players would only do in specific situations and not one player every single round.

I’ve played a few times, I'm pretty good. I do like it because once you learn what the hands are, and what beats what, it's not too difficult. At my level, it's all luck based on what cards you get. I know that as you advance, that's no longer true, but I'm not there yet.

I never play for money! But I usually do pretty well and I have a great poker face lol. I grew up in a family that teaches their children basic arithmetic starting about age 3 by teaching them to play cards. Things progress from there.
