I know country is hot right now but me and my partner kinda jumped on the trend early. My partner has always loved old cowboy movies, country music and southern food.
I used to make fun out of him a little and call him a red neck. We have shot guns and go shooting and he goes hunting but this is very rare for people in the UK especially were we live and it's more seen as a rich country people sport not for working class city people.
I've always seen south as very beautiful it's always been romanticised in movies but I doubt it's really like that in real life.
I love the style and I really feel like I can relate to how southers hold themselves. Southern girls take no shit but handel themselves with a smart mouth and they always dress cute. a lot of British girls don't care about dressing up or anything like that.
I've really been getting into country music now too. Especially Luke Combs music I'm sure he's probably very mainstream I'm the USA but I'm the UK not many people would know of him.
Me and my partner want to go to the southern parts of america so bad and one day dream of having a home there but there also things I'm a scared about living over there as you see a lot of bad stuff on the news and it's hard to know what to believe and without sounding rude I'm not sure I'd actually get on with most southerners as some can have very much view's from what mine are.
I've been to the US 3 times and my partner been once but we did the tourist stuff.
I wanna try line dancing to it looks so fun and cool on tiktok but no one dances in the UK..
We have a small country themed bar just down the road but that's about as close as we get to southern culture over here.
I also really want cowboy boots but everyone got cheap ones over here from shein and primark. I love, love shack fancy and all the girly country clothing brands but we just don't have that in the UK.
We have a country music festival coming to my city and me and my partner really want to go.

Lol I see that a lot with foreigners about liking the (true) redneck/cowboy culture. Not as much fun when your actually living it lol.
But yeah there's lots of things from other cultures I like or at least can appreciate. I mean I'm from the US it's the melting pot of the world and I've been able to see parts of a lot of different cultures.
Oh yes, very much so. I find the culture I grew up with to be the blandest in the world. Other cultures are far more interesting.
