I just finished one a couple weeks ago. Reading takes me WAY too long. My girlfriend was like “you’re STILL reading that?”, and I felt remedial as fuck😂 I speed-read half of it too, because it was about my favorite NFL team, and it was stuff from 20 years ago, so I kind of knew most of it already, in terms of the people involved and the real life events that are just common sports history to me. I was like “Belichick, Robert Kraft, Ernie Adams…Jacksonville…. Super Bowl…. the one they won against Carolina…. they’re game planning…. Jake Delhomme, Steve Smith….”, not reading all the descriptive language and “having a picture painted”, because I just wanted to be finished. And it wasn’t even a bad book. But I’m just like “I’ve seen full documentaries about this stuff, and I was done way faster, retained a lot more.” Even reading fast, it took me like six weeks to read less than 200 pages lmao. It’s just an inefficient medium for the way my brain works.
The book was “Patriot Reign” by Michael Holley. I have two more of his books to go. Reviews coming in 2028.
An entire book would be over a year. I just don't have the time anymore, so I spend my "free time" (yeah, that's a joke) on what I can when I can. Since much of that is on the web, like being here, it does involve a shitload of reading. That's pretty much what I do with my free time - surf the web or otherwise interact with it like I am at this moment and often with streamed audio/radio in the background. I DID watch a whole movie on Sunday though: Godzilla Minus One, which, I have to admit, was the best Godzilla movie in 70 years.
For me, many of the books I would read are generally textbooks or reference books. Believe me when I say "Optimal Control Theory - An Introduction" by Donald E. Kirk is not boring and is a masterpiece, but it's not a "I just can't put this down! I am so riveted!! That part when they get to the Weierstass-Erdmann Conditions... I had chills going up and down my spine."
Currently reading With Each Tomorrow by Tracie Peterson (she's one of my favorite authors). Just finished a couple of months ago Mornings Refrain by Tracie Peterson, and it's one of my favorite books

This one.
Haven’t heard of that one lol
It's riveting.

It's so easy to get taken away from improving your mind by wasteful "games" online and entertainment.
Reading is a quiet place that many have been taken away from. It's good to be quiet. To think and absorb new information. Makes you a better person.
The last book I fully read was about six months ago, Where the Red Fern Grows, it came highly recommended by my uncle. Have you ever tried reading while tears are streaming down your face?
i remember reading that in school lol
Yep, his teacher would read two chapters everyday when he was in sixth grade. He's a little older than you but not much older.
I think books are such an outdated medium. Or reading is. I rather listen to the audio version of a book. Smaller books are 1 hour long. Sped up it would be like 40 minutes. I could listen through it like it's nothing. But ain't no way I'm reading through it myself.
I like reading forums and comments online though. I probably spend way too much time doing that lol.
Just about every day. Unfortunately, they are textbooks at the moment XD
Thank god im done with school. sux for youuu
jk lol
Yeah my major was history which i still enjoy reading but there were a few very verrry dry reads i had to suffer through lol.

Read one tonight, just started the second book in a series.
What series is it?
Mage Errant by John Bierce
Having a kid helps a lot with that lol. We read books daily! The last time I fully read a "for adults" book tho... that'd be a while. Im not a great reader rlly
I’m reading one book each month or at least I’m trying to. I’m currently reading „When the coffee gets cold” - a wonderful story about a café situated in the small alley in Tokio where the carefully brewed coffee can take you in a wonderful travel back in time. But there’s a catch: you have to come back before the coffee gets cold! ☕️
I started reading Amityville Horror three days ago lol I saw the movie for the first time just before Halloween but didn't know it was a book until a GAG member told me.
Today. There was not a single day I have not read a book in the last two weeks I think. Either for work and most of the time for fun as well.
The Man in the High Castle - no spoilers, please!
I usually have several going at one time. Al different genres so I do not get confused.
