Your favorite Winter fun?

Skiing. Driving carving ski in Alps is nice but it's too early. End February beginning March is the best time.
Sitting in front of my heater is my favorite winter activity.
Skiing. Gives a great high. Just more expensive than drugs. lol
@goaded that’s not the problem. Lift tickets are pushing 150+. I don’t go often enough to buy a pass because I live three hours from the mountains. But I go often enough that renting is uneconomical. I buy used equipment that lasts a good 10yrs and pays for itself in three days on the slopes.
Wow, that's expensive. In the Alps, it's €79 for a adult day pass, under €400 for a 6 day pass, €750.00 for the season. And that's the three valleys https://www.les3vallees.com/en with over 300 miles of piste, "the largest connected ski area in the world which is linked solely by ski lifts and slopes" and the lifts can shift a quarter million skiers an hour.
Most skiers stay in resort or live nearby, so they probably benefit from a more consistent supply of customers. It's about a 10 hour drive from where I am, but you can also get near by train (there used to be an overnight sleeper from Paris that got you there for the first lift in the morning; that was excellent!).
I used to ski / snowboard almost every winter.

Growing up in the cold Northeast US, I enjoyed sledding with my friends.
Now that I'm older and living in the warmer Southeast US, I prefer relaxing in my recliner, watching a movie on Netflix, while sipping on a hot egg nog spiced with some rum.
