Be honest, does your voice bless ears or bruise them?

I went to a karaoke room with friends. And I blew them away with my bad singing. They loved it. What about you? Can you sing?

I can't sing for shit but I know I'm not tone deaf. I can sing with an instrument, it just doesn't sound all that great. I'm an alto so songs that fit that register fit my voice more. Like Adele's Someone Like You I can actually keep up with but it doesn't sound the best because I need a lot of practice.

I want to do karaoke by the way. I have not done that yet. I hear it's a lot of fun!

My singing makes ears bleed and minds scream in pain. But my speaking voice is something I've always been complimented on. Oddly, when I hear my own recorded voice, I'm not hearing what other people hear. I don't see anything appealing or unique about my voice. Weird. But I think it's like that for most people.

That's awesome that you had a blast at karaoke! 🎤 As for me, my singing is more of a private affair meant for solo car rides or shower concerts. While I absolutely love music, my voice is best appreciated by my own ears. It's all about having fun and expressing yourself, right? Keep enjoying those karaoke nights! 🎶😊

My voice isn't as good as it used to be, but I used to be pretty good at mimicking vocal styles closely.
I still vaguely remember back in my later school days when my younger brother brought his friends over to do their band practice at our place... and they were trying to cover Chop Suey by System of a Down... and they were kinda butchering the vocals. Eventually I just got tired of them, walked over to the girl doing the vocals and told her to hand me the microphone. Pulled off a near flawless impersonation of Serj Tankian's vocals first time and didn't even stumble a single word.

... In my favour I'd sang along to the entire Toxicity album a LOT in private, so it wasn't entirely unrehearsed... but they didn't know that.

Lol, there are a couple of kids that have requested good night songs from me and when I start they ask me to stop. Have a kid that sings a lullaby for himself when I put him to bed to avoid me singing for him again. 😂

I have a few songs i go for with my vocal rage, but trying to remember vocal style mannerisms is hard, so though i like swing, frank senatra, Michael buble, and all of that, that are better for singalongs than karaoke for me... i do rocky horror picture show's sweet transvestite, and oogie boogie's song perfectly though.

I have to say my voice isn't sweet in the slightest. I recall one of the first times I was impressed with a voice. There was a military parade and the sergeant calling out the words of command had a fabulous baritone that made all who heard it know exactly what was expected. Timed to perfection and toned to be clear and loud.

Singing I enjoy but it's not for others.

I sing very well when nobody is listening or I think nobody is listening. When I know my voice cracks and I can't control it. Also. I love violent gangster rap because I am from Philly. I sing the n words in the shower. If you are close enough to be offended then you are close enough to wash my back or give be a soapy hand job.

I used to be in Choir in High School. As I get older, I am more likely to be playing the piano or organ than doing the singing, but with a narrower and lower range now, I could hold my own if needed.

Yes I can sing but it’s been a few years since I was a part of a choir so I’m rusty. Singing like any other exercise requires practice to stay viable.
