I've seen this question hashed out before but wanted my personal touch to it. Ok I'm almost 32. Divorced and haven't dated since 2017. Now I'm back in the dating scene and I've had a couple of dates here and there. Now I'm not a super shallow person but I believe in having some attraction naturally. Half of my dates end up being women who used strong editing and carry themselves as low value... ( No ambition, no hope, tons of problems). And then I have a couple that seemed nice and ghost. But I do seem to get a lot of likes from much much older women like in their 50s. I'm sorry but that's too much of a gap. But as much as I hate the dating apps, I swipe on so many great looking profiles (physical looks as well as just a good seeming person) and nothing...
I have some decent high quality photos and do all the outdoor and fun stuff people typically do. I feel I have a lot to offer as a potential boyfriend. ( Good secure job. Nice house (not that the material things should matter but it shows I'm not a bum or a slob) activity equipment like a UTV to go out with... Bla bla bla. ) I was pretty overweight but have lost a considerable amount which boosted my confidence. But when I go in public places it's like I'm invisible. No profile likes either.
The ballsiest thing I did ( In my opinion... ) was this summer on vacation in Mexico I approached two of the hottest women at the resort. I wasn't hitting on them but I had a short friendly convo before so I had a slight thing already... So I went up again and basically said this stuff I just said. Their response was very nice and friendly but generic. "Oh just keep trying your great... If I wasn't in a relationship I'd go out with you... " And it was an incredible boost but it's worn off and I just don't know why I'm such a turnoff. I'm hoping it's not just looks or something... I've had several women tell me that I'm "totally attractive" but I get everyone has their tastes.
