Are people willing to pay me a livable wage as a freelance courier or a concierge?

Keep in mind I live in the suburbs and I used to deliver for UberEats by bike (until they deactivated me for "low" ratings), while for freelancing as a concierge I wouldn't be a full-on assistant to protect myself legally and to not get ripped off. Minimum wage here in Ontario is currently 17.20 CAD, which I don't know how that much is in USD, but it's safe to assume it's higher than the federal US minimum, while I guess livable wage is probably 1.5-2x that amount (so up to $34.40). Most people I know will never want to hire me as a courier because they can do it themselves or get people they know to help them for free and/or they can resort to existing services for delivery like gig apps and private courier companies. However I know that as a concierge, even niche clients like seniors, businesses, government agencies, disabled, and hobbyists are far more likely to hire me consistently and generously since I'd be providing services that are hard to come by.

you may be able to find a job or two but he work will be very inconstant hours wise and not likely to be steady or reliable. when you do the math it will likely pay net a little better the then gig apps. 34.40 is more then a lot of professional in niche industry make so i wouldn't count on it unless you can REALLY optimize routing for multiple clients at the same time which might be doable with luck and time. its unlikely seniors, disabled and hobbyist have that money to spend. government agencies and large businesses have approved supplier lists that you won't be on. So small business would be your target for market need to fill.

Well for a courier, obviously nobody is gonna pay me double minimum wage unless I'm doing very premium deliveries and/or delivering by motor vehicle to very far/remote distances

As for a concierge, based on my market research, I actually should be able to get paid that much and more; however, you're probably right that work would be very inconsistent so I can't rely on this unless I get real lucky

I doubt it. I can pay a Mexican or a homeless person 3 bucks and they will work harder for the tip.
