Which Groundhog should I pick?

Well, the big day is almost here! That's right! The most wonderful and joyous Groundhogs day! Yay! Don't forget to send out your Groundhogs Day cards and put up the Groundhogs Day lights! Now, with all the fun stuff to do on this most festive of Holidays I can't forget the most important part of the day! (Like I forgot to put peanut butter in peanut butter cookies once) The actual Groundhog prediction! And you can video record it to watch the delightful fun moment over and over! Thrill your friends and family at fun gatherings by forcing them to watch the wonderous vids on your phone! They'll love you for it! 😊

BUT, this is where things can get really complicated 'cuz like, there's over 88 Groundhog predictions to choose from. That's right. Over 88 meteorological rodents! (Click HEREto see them all!) Which one ever do I choose? Lady Edwina of Essex?, Chuck Wood? , Snerd? Scramble the Duck? (Which seems an odd name for a groundhog but whatever) There are just so many! I suppose I could pick the closest one to me or I could just pick them all until I got to a prediction I actually liked. Or I could listen to my squirrels who tell me not to listen to weather predictions from groundhogs 'cuz it's gonna be a long, cold, miserable winter no matter what. Or I could just get drunk and stay in bed all day, which is prolly the most likely option and also my entire plan until spring to avoid the long, cold miserable winter predicted by 88 Groundhogs.

So, anyways, in my hour of dire need, I turn to you, dear G@G community, as I ask, Which Groundhog should I pick?

The damn rodent saw his shadow so now it's gonna' be even a longer, miserablerer winter! Why didn't they just let him sleep?

I notice that Everett Ernie was conspicuously absent from the list. Every Feb 2nd he makes his way across Broadway in Everett, Ma and if he does not get run over by a car winter is another ten weeks.

I feel like snerd knows something 🙂 also 88 symbolizes luck, abundance, and perfect balance. To me there being 88 different woodchucks means more then if he sees his shadow or not.

It makes little difference which hog you pick. If the groundhog sees his shadow or not. In my part of Canada we are guaranteed at least another 12 to 14 weeks of winter weather here.
