What's the most boring stamp?

Stamps are things our ancestors put on things called letters, and some men used to collect them. These men were known as virgins.

Like many countries, the UK Post office produces several designs throughout the year to delight its citizens and encourage conversation over scones and tea, providing a much needed distraction from impending doom.

This month, we're celebrating oppression of the huddled masses and peasant persecution with castles. Like the fortresses of old that suppressed our forefathers, these stamps remind us of our place, and we're grateful for it.

Hardly anyone collects stamps these days, most people consider the hobby rather boring. So which of these new stamps would you be most disappointed to receive on a letter?

Confession... As a kid, I collected stamps. I still have my albums, collecting dust. I have fond memories of my grand father sharing his with me.

I had bags of Queen Elizabeth stamps in various denominations. They were dignified, beautifully produced "general mail". The "commemoratives" you're asking about are not to my taste. They're little more than photographs on stickers.

In the day a skilled artist would carve plates of metal with images that although less detailed have a timeless beauty.

There was a nice continuity to them as well. The space flight commemoratives were a series that were released over many years.

Don't get me started on air mail or postage due stamps or peel away, self stick backings.

So, to answer the question. The castle commemoratives all are dreadfully boring. They're why kids don't collect any more.

The “most boring” stamp to me is the one that looks the safest and most generic 💤

When I used to get mail from relatives, the dullest stamps were just plain buildings with washed‑out colors and no story. Among castle stamps, I’d be most disappointed by a grey, boxy fortress with no dramatic sky, no people, nothing happening.

If it doesn’t spark curiosity or feel a bit epic, it’s just wallpaper on an envelope.

I have realized King Charles III has been kicked off postage stamps. That's not right.

After that rant I will attempt the question.

I think decrepit buildings mostly fallen down are disappointing. The most decrepit is the Irish one at bottom so I have voted for that.

Unless the castle was decrepited by Oliver Cromwell in which case it would excite and please me. So the Scotish decrepit is a safer bet as disappointing me.

Since the Muslims took over, the UK just looks like a bunch of old buildings in disrepair that are crumbling into dust. Now even your most famous YouTubers Storror are falling apart due to a child pornography conviction which on Callum Powell. Who knows, maybe CP was selling CP to the Muslims... I don't know about "boring", as I find nothing exciting about ANY stamps. But the most "immoral" stamps would be the "Harvey Milk" stamps, which I've been very careful not to buy
