I was a part of a board game group for adults for a while. It was fun and interesting learning a variety of different games and meeting new people. I didn’t end up buying any new games though.
I grew up with the classics like Monopoly, Clue, Chutes and Ladders, Charades, Pictionary, Twister, etc.
What are some of your favorite board games or parlor games?

Oh this one is right up my alley! We have 2 closets full of board and card games. Sure we have the classics like Monopoly and Clue, but i prefer other games like Red Dragon Inn and Marvel Legendary.
My all time favorite game though is a game called Nightmare. It's basically a very fast paced, chaotic game that you play along with a video. You have an hour to beat the game, the video keeps stopping the action to make it harder, and you have opponents using Time cards that work alongside the video (which shows a timer) to inhibit your game play as well. Very hard to win, but oh so much fun.
I have no idea how it escaped my attention. It appears “Nightmare” has been around for decades and there have been multiple iterations. I have been a horror fan most of my life. This seems like it’s right up my alley as well.
I hope you are able to give it a try someday. Its most fun with 6 players, but even 3 is good. Pretty sure you can find a copy on ebay and the video you need on YouTube unless you actually have a vcr still lol
