Well considering you responded in another comment that men find it sexy, I am going to guess it's the opposite when men do it and guys think it's childish. Either way, blame guys for this one.
Men find a lot of things that women do as sexy from lingerie, to her feet, to just simply existing and all kinds of fetishes that are too many to name. Most guys don't find other men sexy and to save their "masculinity", they tend to revile it. Why would cosplay be any different.
Who sees it as sexy?
This is another one for the "things that never happen" file.
Men see it as sexy
Because when women do it they dress like sluts. When men do it they dress like children
I don't think that's the case.
