What is the perfect cup for you?

I used to be able to find marshmallows with candy cane bits in them. Now I’ll have to make my own, they were surprisingly good!

Last night I went out for a ride in the rain. Decided to stop at the world market and get some import chocolate. Far better than packets and worth it.

Came home and treated the family with melted Belgian chocolate in hot milk, stirred with a mini cane, and mini marshmallows on the side, as we like them.

Didn’t even have to call them down, the smell beckoned. Life's little pleasures are in the details. Yum! Might be addicted for a while, but maybe try without the candy cane tonight.

First off: yes, snowfall makes it taste better. The house I grew up in had a big front window directly in front of a street light, and whenever it'd snow, I'd make a cup of hot chocolate, and drink it as I watched the snow fall in front of it. It was a magical experience, and knowing I won't be able to revisit that here in Florida makes me miss it all the more. (To be fair, though, given how badly people drove in ILLINOIS when it started snowing, most of my neighbors now would probably spontaneously combust, so...).

But I can still have the cocoa. Come to think of it, I think I still have a newspaper article I saved from several years ago with some recipes in it; the one for s'more hot chocolate was pretty good, if a little messy. Maybe I should try the others...

Instead of hot water or milk to mix with my (powdered) hot chocolate mix, i use coffee. I use a double serving of the mix and if the time is right i’ll add a shot of Rumpel Minze.

In a blanket, in the snow, with good milk or dark choclete inside and a lot of it, some mashmalow on top and have it hot boiling.. so keeps the hands warm and only drink when cool down to warm so can really enjoy the snow dropping on me

Second cup in bed all week while being sick... tottaly worth it 😅
But I am a sucker for snow and sugar...(Some how super lucky to remain heathly with really unhealthy to maddness habits)

Hot chocolate has been my biggest pregnancy craving lately. It has to be homemade cuz the packs don't do it for me. And a candy cane or two inside so it has a good peppermint flavor

The best cup for me is made on: Icelandic chocolate, preferably from Nóa Sirìus melted with cream - topped off with whipped cream, sometimes I'll add cinnamon, vanilla drop or marshmallow but that's rare. Nostalgia always wins.

I always have family send me a shit load of Icelandic chocolate during the holiday season.

I don't drink much hot chocolate, but I've seen the hubby melt down dark chocolate squares in a double boiler and add them into a mixture of whole milk and heavy whipping cream. Certainly smells really good :-)

I love a small spoon of vanilla or chocolate ice cream in my hot chocolate. It cools it just enough and makes it extra creamy. You could try peppermint ice cream too.

My favorite is a splash of Irish cream in my hot chocolate. 😋

I use to like it with marshmallows, but now that's too sweet for me. I add a little milk now to cut some of the sweet and that also cools it down some at the same time.
