She thought it would look good on my bar top, and placed it there, after which it was used as a place for her to keep her sunglasses and hats. I gifted it back to her when we broke up about five weeks after.

My mum is notorious for bad presents, I've had such delights as toothpaste and vitamin pills wrapped up for me at Christmas. But the worst gift of all was, when I was 12. She gave me tennis shoes for Christmas In her size and style. And since they were too big for me, she happily accepted the gift, you know, since I couldn't use them.
