I believe I saw a similar question a few days ago by a moderator. Anyway, I don't believe New Year Resolutions usually work. If you wanted to change something in their life, you would do it. If you wait until the new year, it’s going to fail because that was your only drive.
Look at how packed the gym is up to three weeks past New Year’s Eve. Then it just stops. You’re never ready until you do something but you have to have a drive outside of “New year, new me”.
It depends on what the resolution is. Is it something you just came up with on a drunken whim the night of? Probably not going to happen. Is it something you’ve been working up to for six months, and you’ve finally made a decision? Maybe 🤷🏻♀️. Ultimately, I think it’s the hope for a new start in the coming year that it represents, and hope is never a bad thing.
Noo because January is the worst month to try to start a self improvement regimen. Between the crushing cold and the depressing darkness it is more likely I will be spending the winter in a junk food coma.
No I keep a yearly goal/thoughts file. I have a 1 year, 5 year and 10 year goal file. Today I pulled out my files and compared last years to my situation today. And looked at my long term goals etc.

not something I follow myself...
but I know it has worked well for a few, yes
Nah, if I want to make a resolution, I can make sure to be resolute about it the very moment. New Year's celebrations and its resolutions are very overrated.
No, it's a terrible way of going about improving yourself. Just start doing it and practice being disciplined, then other shit will fall in line.
I don't necessarily believe in it, but I do believe it's good to set goals for yourselves and get a good start to the new years. It's rare that anyone keeps up with it though 😅
They can give you a bit of motivation for the start of the year. Very rarely are they actually successful but they can lead to other opportunities. So New Year’s resolutions aren’t completely useless.
I do because I believe they help to keep up with your goals and ambitions.
I do , I think its a good time to start fresh , I usually stick to them.
Nope. Just another day. I do have goals and ambitions but I don't need a holiday to encourage me to do them
I am resolving to be less condensending to people.
Condensending means talking down to people.
😉
Sure, I think it’s a good idea to get out of your normal grove and spend some time reflecting on what you want for the new year.
Hell no. It's a waste of time. I don't do it anymore
If you're making a good common-sense resolution that you're intending to keep, then yes. But you also don't need to wait for January 1st to start one
No one said there was anything magical about them. It’s just setting a goal for yourself.
Nahhhhh no need to
No. Childish and futile.
Nope, what's the point?
NO--
Nope
I believe in New Year's dreams. :)
