My wife and I stayed home. In the evening, we had a nice, home cooked meal, watched a movie, and then, from about 10:30 to 12:30, sipped wine and watched fireworks displays from around the world on TV via my laptop. 10 seconds before midnight, we stood, counted down, and then hugged and kissed like revelers at the stroke of midnight.

With friends at a barn Ceilidh, some of them are in a band, some of us were unpaid help lol. I did get a bit on the smashed side and suffered for it yesterday.

  I was going to go to a party at my friend's house, he has one every year. Back in the day it was all my friends, now days only a few of my friends show up and it's mostly the parents of his kid's friends.
