Why are some men overly dominated by women?

I have a cousin who is married to a girl who since the courtship she was very manipulative. They were dating and he did not want to marry her but in the end he ended up doing it and about three months before the engagement she was pregnant (apparently it was from another man or maybe it was from my cousin) (I don't know)
My cousin's mother knew about the pregnancy, so she asked her if they would have a baby and she made a scandal about it, she turned red with rage and said that she would not have a baby until he was a conscious man and marry her. In the end she had an abortion.
So they got married, my cousin was crazy about her, they celebrated the wedding and made the house through the window, expensive dress, they fixed the church and a lot of things, until then everything was normal, until the day came to buy her a house. He had everything ready, the house was bought and he would surprise her, when the moment came she told him that she did not want that house and that she wanted a better house which she would design to her liking, the very asshole did what she She wanted and gave her another house, but it was on two floors because that is how she wanted it.
Now they have been married for 11 years, she is still the same, he calls the phone, before leaving she has to tell him where she is going, she does not let him go out with friends, she makes him cook, give him a part of his salary, and sometimes your own home when upset.

Well, since her daughter was born, she hasn't done it again, I think it's because she doesn't want to make scandals in front of the girl and affect her. if I change a little with the birth of his first daughter.
