Two top reasons are selfishness and cheating. Black guys believe that his money is his and his wife’s money is for the family. I went to a private school in Cayman with a lot of rich black people and they were really good fathers. You're basing this assumption on personal experience and vague statistics. Something people need to learn about statistics is that with something so varying as divorce rates, that has so many individual causations, you can't narrow it down to something so generalised as skin colour. There are so many other factors like social inequality, financial inequality, parental influences, mental illness, and religion.

For example, the number 1 reason for female divorce is male infidelity. Black women are more religious than white women so they're less likely to be pro-divorce. Also black women are much more religious than black men. Also the fact that black people make up a disproportionate amount of the poor population. Places with higher crime rates and poverty affect behaviour. Black women then have more pressure to hold their family together while black men need to alter their morality to make ends met under the common patriarchal standard more present in said communities. Meaning men are more likely to become involved in crime. Also 70% of black women are considered to be obese. Much more than white women. So if they divorce they're less likely to find another partner due to weight stigma.

When you consider all those factors it really makes sense.

AA men didn’t do this in the 1950s when there was significant racism. Black men not taking care of the family is epidemic, over 72% of back children are born to single mothers, and that was 8 years ago. I understand 3 years ago it was 82% and I would guess more now.
