No, it should be a decision both of you jointly make before you tie the knot. Some people may want to have kids right after marriage, while others may want to get settled into the new routine and give it time before they decide to have a kid. My mother and father had my brother exactly 10 months after they got married. They had me 5 years later.

Well, I may be an exception. But I felt ok with my (then) (and now ex-) wife conceiving a few months before marriage.
