my husband and I met first when we shared a table at a small cafe, we talked and found out that we were going to the same wedding, I knew the bride slightly and he knew the groom because they had played for the same dart team
I met my wife through a pre-internet dating service called Great Expectations in 1994. We arranged to meet at a restaurant.
She was very pretty, but didn't perfectly fit my imagined physical ideal. She was taller, her hair and eyes weren't my ideal color, and she dressed attractively but a bit frumpy.
But inside, we just clicked. The conversation was stimulating and effortless. Time vanished.
At some point, I felt something bumping my foot. It was a waiter vacuuming under our table. We looked around. The place was empty and they were trying to close.
So we walked to our cars in the parking lot and continued talking for a while. When we said goodbye, she stepped forward and gave me a sweet kiss on the lips.
But when we tried to exit, we found the parking lot gate locked. I hopped over the 6' cinder block wall and got someone from the restaurant to open the gate.
Two days later, she called. I was surprised. She said some friends had offered her two tickets to see the Rolling Stones and Red Hot Chili Peppers and she wondered if I wanted to go.
Of course I wanted to go! I love rock music and had been to hundreds of concerts in the 1970s. I also knew that she wasn't into rock. She liked disco and dance music. So I wondered if she had come up with the idea of concert tickets as a way of enticing me.
Either way, I thought it was sweet and I also admired her initiative and pro-active courage in calling me instead of waiting for me to call.
We had a great time at the concert and started dating exclusively.
When she told her friends how I jumped over the wall in the parking lot, she did so with awe, as if I was a super hero who had rescued her. LOL

On here, she asked a question about learning to love one's self, I had a PICC line in at the time and was on pain medication so I was quite loopy.
I shot my shot and told her to smile or I'd tickle the hell out of her and told her to send me a PM. Now we've been together for 2.5 years, not married yet but I do hope to be married to her in the near future after she finishes college and we move in together.
I once left an opinion on a question she asked prior on whether one is meant for love, I said "some people aren't but hopefully we'll both prove eachother wrong!ā¤ļø" That aged like fine wine🥰
I met my to be husband ten years ago, when he came to my place of works as a junior architect, to take measurements and make sketches of the proposed new extension.
We dated for about fifteen months before deciding, and agreeing to sell both our homes, and pooling our resources into a brand new home, designed by my husband (to be) and oversaw and built by him.
Fast forward to present day, we will be celebrating our fourth wedding anniversary next month and also welcoming our second child into our family.
We also now own and run the architects practice which trained my husband until he successfully qualified.
Great meet. Did you just randomly share the table? Curious.
Our paths crossed by chance. I think you meet the best people when not looking for them.

I was designing lights for a production of Godspell, and my wife was doing work study in the scene shop. One day the technical director was out sick so she got reassigned to work under me for the day. We hit it off immediately and started dating a few weeks later. The day I met her I helped her fit a fall arrest harness, so we were quite up close and personal 🤣

My first wife I met at the Icerink. She was a whore fucking any cock she could put her hands on. She even had another man's child. Tests were done. I should have fucked her sexy sister while we were married. Left if too late, but still rewarding letting her know I fucked her sister.
Went to same Highschool two years younger I knew her but never really talked. Primarily because I thought she was out of my league. 20 years later she contacted me on lavalife, started dating, married 15 years this month
