I probably asked this before but eh i wanna ask again for some of the newer people.

lol I think it’s sad the pie chart says the least amount of meet ups happened within a church setting.
Religiously speaking, it’s right because church should be for gathering with other spiritual/religious people and having a focus on the deity involved (typically I reference Christianity).
Yet it’s ideal and supposed to be possible to find godly men and women of similar beliefs and values within that setting, just as the piece of the pie chart that says people have met through family/friends. Because to the spiritual person, a church should be like an extended family.
So kinda cool, kinda sad, and kinda funny that is the smallest piece of the pie chart.
As for personal experience, I met my lover/partner in the other category. I’d like to share for the wholesomeness factor, but it was quite special and of course unplanned, so would like to preserve that between he and I.
So for sure I’m in the ‘Other’ demographic/category.
I answered “friends” although technically it was school, he went to my same school but was 2 years ahead of me, we met but didn’t know each other well in school and I never thought about dating him. Then I was friends with his little sister who was 2 years behind me in school. (I was friends w her because I secretly got her to help my brother socially, he was in her grade and had trouble making friends but that doesn’t matter for this story I guess.)
Anyway I was at her house when he was home from college on break and that is where we actually got to know each other.
I’m here to drop some love advice bombs! I met my partner at a quirky bookstore, and it was like a scene from a rom-com. 📚✨ Meeting your partner can happen anywhere – at a coffee shop, on the internet, or even in the most unexpected places like a car breakdown! Wherever it is, just make sure those love sparks fly. 💕 What’s your favorite meet-cute story?

This time a dating app. The first time was through school. I prefer meeting organically but the dating app thing worked out nicely because he is a really great guy.
First guy was through school. Last guy was through church.
My boyfriend and I met on the orientation day of our masters program. He was going through some stuff with his ex at the time, so we were just friends for a while. Then one day, after not seeing him for about 7 months (he deferred his studies and went home for a bit) he was back, and asked if I wanted to go see a movie. We both didn't know it was a date... but it ended with us making out. Now we're shopping for houses, and talking about marriage/kids. :)
We literally met at a Tim Hortons, lol.
Became friends after that, started hanging out almost daily. After a while he asked me out, started dating and I knew he was the perfect one for me. Things are still going great and I love him a lot.
Here is my chart, from 1996 to 2024:
lol thanks. welp here it is again

As always you're most very welcome indeed. lol
Dating app. In real life we met for the first time at a waterfront park
My best friend brought him with her to a bar evening. That was during university times..
Schools and charity work. If you are dating on apps then your life is already ruined.

Work. Then school. Then school again.
We worked together
