I think if you marry somebody poor, you won’t know whether they like you or are using you for your money and after 20 years, they can take half your money if they never loved you in the first place.

They do tend to marry within their circle a lot of times. Just look at Hollywood celebrities, they seem to date/marry other celebrities more often then everyday people.

I think it would come down to how much you truly know about the person and how good your communication and detective skills are. Navigating yourself is hard but learning about someone else is harder. Who’s to say a rich girl or guy wouldn’t want more money from leaving you?

So personally I wouldn't mind either. Because whomever I marry, I will have not a single doubt in my mind or heart that I know there intentions and that they know mine. Wether they are rich or poor. But it would be kind of helpful if they were rich haha. After all, they say money doesn't buy happiness. But it helps with everything else. So it does in a way affect happiness.
