Having the same wealth and income as your SO, prevents courts from issuing alimony payment orders (As does having a prenuptual agreement stating who gets what upon divorce).
This is because to get alimony, you have to prove that you cannot afford to maintain the lifestyle you had while married after the divorce, and that your SO funded said lifestyle.
If your income/wealth matches your SO's, there is no possible way to argue that point, and a judge will deny the requesting party an alimony payment verdict.
This is why people should only marry within their income bracket, or pull their SO into their business and build them up to their income bracket, with the agreement of seperating into 2 separate business if divorce occurs, or simply starting out as 2 businesses, thus maintaining the same income for both parties, before and after divorce.
