If I'm honest I'm dreading the first dance and so is my partner. We both shy, humble people and don't really like being the centre of attention especially when it comes to expressing are feelings in front of others.
We're from the UK so country music isn't as big over here as it probably is in the US but I really like this song and I think the lyrics relate to me and partner well. My partner is a massive country boy and he's really interested in the US country lifestyle so I think he'll like this song but as for everyone else I don't know.
I just feel awkward butting my love life out there in front of everyone. I'm happy to get married and very excited for it but first dance is when everyone's eyes are just on you and your partner. So any advice you get over the nerves too would be greatly appreciated

It's a good song. Your first dance song should be something you and your partner both like and is easy to dance to. All you really need to do is hold onto each other and sway back and forth a little. It doesn't have to be a big production. It will be over quickly. Try to have fun. Focus on your partner. If you feel it will be too awkward for the two of you to dance alone for the full length of the song, set it up so the wedding party joins in after a minute, or on your signal based on how you are feeling.
This is a nice country song. i am sure you will never forget it.
I was at a wedding and they had this one as a first dance.
