That's generally a bad idea. You will have the responsibility of taking care of some other person's kid (s) but not the rights of being a parent.
Not likely, but it would depend on the circumstances surrounding why she ended up a single mother. In most cases, when a woman ends up a single mother it was due to poor choices she made.
Even if it was no fault of her own, the fact she has kids is a problem. Fathers already have very few rights but plenty of responsibilities. Putting myself in that situation when the kids aren't even mine seems unwise.
