Where did/do you want your honeymoon to be?

I got married on April 27. My wife had family come from China. It was a big church wedding, 150 guests, string quartet, choir singing, country club reception with dinner and live band. . . it was the whole nine yards.

After that experience, we wanted something slow and relaxing where we could control the pace. We drove to Hilton Head Island where we rented a beach condo for a week. We explored the island, drove to Savannah a few days, drove to Charleston one day, and did "nothing" a few days. It was EXACTLY what we wanted and needed!

My wife and I were living in the Los Angeles area when we met. She was originally from Cincinnati.

She has a huge family, so we got married in Cincinnati in October and honeymooned for two weeks in New England. We rented a car, explored Boston and Massachusetts, then drove up through New Hampshire to Vermont. Seeing that area in the fall was a bucket list thing for me.
It was magical. We had such a great time.

When we got back home, we had another wedding for my family and our friends.
