Guys, would you wear a top hat to your wedding as the groom if you were getting married?

I keep trying to impress upon the younger generation in my family that they should accept the family heirlooms that previous generations have thus far handed down to my care.
They say no thanks.
I wonder what they'll say to their grandchildren when asked if there are photos or keepsakes from our family's past.

I've tried my best at trying to convince them to perpetuate our family's history.
The only way to do it is to do it.
Once it's lost, it's gone forever.
