It's harder for single professional women to find a childless single professional man after 30 or so. There are more professional women than men. Imagine there are 1100 professional women and 1000 professional men graduating college at 22. In eight years 90% of the men have married. Now there are 200 single women and 100 single men. Also for most of the remaining 100, there is a reason they are still single. If quality could be measured, the average 30-something single woman will score more highly than the average 30-something man.
