For me I’d be put on the spot. It’s not that I don’t care about her, but I think women know much earlier than men who they want to marry. A man might take longer cause there’s numerous things to figure out, especially finances. So it could backfire. I think the men should be the ones to propose. More than likely she’s ready before he is for marriage. So yes I’d feel like I’m out on the spot. I might say the wrong thing. She may take it the wrong way as if I don’t love her, even though I’m trying to establish things better to be able to take care of her. It could really backfire that she ends up breaking up w me cause again she thinks I don’t love her.

Fine by me. I'm not into formal proposals though. "Hey, ya wanna get married?" is good enough for me.

Unfortunately, the answer might be no. I'm not the marrying type. I don't see the point. Living together works just fine.

I've had the discussion about marriage with two women. It was just a discussion to see if it was a good option. No asking. If we both decided it was a good option then there is no need for asking.

If I already want to marry her then she's basically just beating me to the punch. If she asks "will you marry me?" I will just say yes and ask her same question. Then I will go up to the mountains and find some gold, and make her a ring. It might look like it was made 2,000 years ago, but that's kind of the point.
