Propose to her without a ring, then take his fiancée to the jewelry store and let her pick out the ring that she wants. She's the one who is going to be wearing it, not your cousin. She should also pick out the wedding rings that he and she will wear.
2 and 3 are both nice; 1 looks like a giant messy pudding of tiny diamonds... not my style, but if she likes it, go for it.
I'm a pretty simple guy. I could never walk past a high clarity, excellent round cut diamond solitaire. Size doesn't matter much and with lab grown diamonds having become economic even very good ones are much more affordable than they used to be. Wedding rings should be a single plain metal band... mine is platinum, my wife chose gold. Save your creative flair for an eternity ring... once marriage starts to feel like it's been an eternity. I guess I'm stuffy and staid, but I know what I like.
None of those!
you probably got hurt by my updated comment because a mature person should know it’s common sense not to say something like that but hey common sense isn’t that common. YIKES 😬
Ummm... Nikki doesn't need my defense and I don't tender it... but are you so emotionally involved with prospective lumps of metal that you think character assaults are justified because someone expresses an honest opinion that is not the same as your own?

The first one looks the most like an engagement ring. I got my girlfriend a white gold ring with her birthstone (garnet) surrounded by small diamonds for $2,500 (apparently it was actually supposed to cost between $5,00-$7,500, I'm pretty sure a personal friendship with the owners wouldn't save us this much).
The first one. I like it better than the others and the other 2 will not do well over time as the etching will wear down as it hits tables, chair backs and more… maybe even by the grabbing of headboards :D
The first one!
I like the middle
