+1 yI could have predicted most people would pick black/dark over anything else, it's just a more popular color, matches easily to other things, etc.
I chose blue, but I think whatever you choose should have some deeper symbolism than you "like the way it looks". For example, if you are more outdoorsy types, maybe go with the green, symbolizing nature. If you are more into water, or water signs, or the ocean or sky or something, then pick the blue one. Purple is the color of visionaries and mysticism.
For our wedding bands, we had blue because we both love the ocean.

+1 yI’m not voting. But i definitely feel compelled to comment. First of all, kudos for being progressive and generous enough to consider buying your fella an engagement ring. In that way, to say the least, he’s a lucky guy. However, you’re far too young to commit so radically. Buy the ring and swear to each other your mutual futures. But take some time to really get to know each other and experience life together. At least a few years. Twenty-one changes lives in the U. S., and not always for the better. Get through that together, and you’ve got something to put vows on. Good luck!

Asker+1 ySomehow I knew someone would comment something like this. I understand you think it seems so “radically” cause I’m young but my age doesn’t define my maturity. I’ve been through a lot for my age and this man that I’m deciding to marry has been through way more than me. I’m not doing things on impulse or marrying the guy cause I love him. We spend every single day together and that might not sound like much but that means we know each other very well and have seen each other through our worst and best and are still committed to each other. We have argued through it all and we still want each other. Not every relationship is like others. We both know our flaws and work together to change for the better if we’re able to change it. It got to the point that I’m not attracted to anyone but him. But yeah I give props to you for saying all that cause there are people my age that don’t really know what they want and do this kind of stuff and end of regretting it.
Anonymous(36-45)+1 yYou really shouldn't have to ask strangers online what ring to get. If this is a guy you love and have known for quite some time, wouldn't you know what kind of ring he would like? Not trying to be nasty here sorry

The first option is nice. Very sophisticated.

The person who proposes (the proposer) offers a ring and hopes the proposee will accept it. A proposal is almost always a surprise. So how would the proposee be prepared to exchange rings if they didn't know they were going to be proposed to?
People exchange wedding rings, not engagement rings.02 Reply
Asker+1 yObviously I meant wedding band. And he is planning to propose too. We both decided to let each other pick out our ring from the choices that we give each other. And I’m planning to pop out the ring right after he proposes. That way it’ll be special and different from other peoples proposals. So when he gets down on one knee. I’m going to surprise him and do the exact same thing. So I know he won’t expect that. And there are girls who propose to their man. Also either way when you get married to someone you still give them a ring. I don’t see the problem.
I like his style.
I argued a lot with my ex about this.
I prefer practical ones like these, where there isn't a risk of it catching on fabric or gems getting loose etc...
I kind of like how number 3 changes character depending on the light, but the strong blue is a bit too flashy for me.
I like the subdued colours of number 4, but it depends.
And it would look better against some skin tones then others.
I'd want to see that one on skin to make up my mind on that one...01 Reply- +1 y
I like how number 1 and 2 both have colour *and* avoids being too over stated.
As for picking one...
Look for something that means something more for you.
Not just something that looks nice.
What's his eye colour?
What is yours?
Do the colours have some kind of symbolism in your life?
The ring should make you think about him or be meaningful in some way.
982 opinions shared on Relationships topic. I don't care for the second one because it looks too girls for a man. The first one is okay. The second one looks good and kind of sci-fi. I like the last one the most. I think that one looks really cool. What kind of store did you find that one at?
Any chain store or online retailer?
00 Reply5.2K opinions shared on Relationships topic. Honestly as a guy I'd probably pick the bottom one opition D. It looks the most masculine, dark coloured but it's also a classy and nice looking ring in general would go with almost any colour of clothing.
So I'd go with that one.

Anonymous(25-29)+1 yI wouldn't buy any of them, you gotta figure in an ideal world (not that this world is often but I digress) you're looking at something to last 60 years or so and well these Alibaba/Wish. com things last 60 days maybe
Hence historically gold or platinum were standard choices because they don't erode in more recent times you see silver, palladium and even tungsten bands because they have years of life in them02 Reply
Asker+1 yI’m not getting rings on wish. & I’m deciding with the black ring. That’s a tungsten band.
Opinion Owner+1 yYeah tungsten's a sound choice, they just look like Wish specials, why is the serious dealer looking at Wish you may say but hey best way to catch the forgers and con artists is to beat them at their own game
That purple one is my favorite 😍 my boyfriend already knows to get me a ring with amethyst if he can or any jewelry with that gemstone

+1 yAre you sure he's going to want to wear a colorful ring? I would personally opt for a classic gold band.

Asker+1 ySo we narrowed it down to 3. & 4. I’m thinking of going with 4. Because the opinions on it make a good point. 3., He chose that as an option because it looked almost like his bracelet that meant a lot to him that he lost.
