Wedding fund amount?

I will be getting an inheritance from my MIL's estate. I want to put some aside for my 20-something daughters (2 of them) wedding. I was thinking $20k each. In today's day knowing that they'll probably be married within 10 years is that a good bit of cash for each?

Sounds good to me. And if they're working adults they'll realize they have to contribute to their weddings too!

You must have more money than sense. We had a massive outdoor wedding complete with live bands, food and drink, and it cost us under $100. You obviously must have no friends.

Okay. But a modest wedding is seated dining for 50 people, and a dress, and rings, and a car and a photographer and a honeymoon. It adds up without being extravagant.
