Beware of Egyptian men?!

I met this fantastic man online, absolutely perfect. He's educated & religious and left Egypt a while back. But a lot of posts online say foreign women should beware of Egyptian men:

Has any ladies had experience with Egyptian men? It sounds as if all of them are flirty, romantic & wonderful & turn into monsters after getting married... and if not it is an exception to the rule! Do I need to pursue this or run as quickly as I can?

Yes be very aware! I met a egyptian and had a 2 year relationship with him, he told me that he was never married and had no children, and after 2 years I found out that he was married and had a child. He was as you say very charming I opened up to him he talked to me every day and night about his undying love for me, when absolutely every word was a lie! To cut the story as short as I can, he even tryed to convince his wife to allow him to marry me, all for future investments, money property visa etc, and he told her that he would return to her after he got what he wanted! I would never have imagined that any human could lie like this, no honour no respect,to me or his family! He was pure filth, double standards and a hypocrite never mind to mention a coward, who lived off of women! Oh and also he lived away from egypt in dubai for years while he cheated on his arab wife, while she brought up his child that he denied! You cannot win with these men, they trick you into falling for them, and gain your trust, only to steal from you, PLZ DONT GO THERE!

ok,I will tell you what I think as an egyptian girl no,I don't think egyptian men are that bad, but I personally do not believe in internet relationship because come on!how can you really know he is saying the truth about himself,and this religion thing is important I mean if you have different religions you and him,that could be hard I know that because I had a relative whose wife is from a foreign country and they do not look that happy ,and beware of a certain type of men!I mean those who want to marry you to live and work in your country(specially if you are an american or european) ,by the way many egyptian men expect you to be a house wife even if you work its your responsiblity to take care of the house and children and him (that is your number 1 job),but to be fare they mostly are loving, caring ,and simply family men, I hope that was helpful:)

You're gonna find a lot of stuff on the internet about a lot of stuff.

You're likely also only going to hear about the BAD things, none of the good things.

If you like this guy, great. Take your time. Nothing saying you gotta get married to him tomorrow.

Make sure there is a lot of communication, understanding and respect in the relationship.

If there are any doubts should the day come when you may decide you want to marry tyhe guy... well. That's what prenups are for.

The concern with Middle Eastern men is that their religion is generally not the best for women. The women have no rights, no claims to the children, etc. Everything is fine until you have a child then they take the kid back to their home country and good luck getting them back. So many women fall prey to this situation.

Personally, I would never get involved in an online relationship, especially with a foreign person, because I have heard too many bad stories.

Also, I've heard of a lot of girls getting involved with foreign men in person, only to have the guy leave her.

So I wouldn't blame it all on Egyptians, I think it's a very common problem with many foreign relationships.
