It's definitely the volume lol = But some husbands are harsh though. I've seen how Egyptians speak to their wives in company. Like some kind of dominant stance.

I don’t think it is the volume lol. Generally, Arabic language sounds that way. It sounds harsh due to the pronunciation. Chinese can be loud too.
