Yeah actually Islam has originated in middle eastern desert, where the population was very tribal, violent and based on rule of the jungle. Islam just exported that culture all over the world. They never evolved or had age of reason or renaissance like period. So generally people from other parts of country think they have evolved with time, but truth is Muslims glorify that 8th century era, and actually want to go back. So women being equal or actually being humans to them is an alien concept.

It is difficult to give a general opinion. Do all Christian men think the same? I doubt they do.

What some might see as dominant, others may see as over-protective. That might explain why certain Muslims - not all of them - want their women to cover up when they are outside. Is it because they don't want other men to see them, or is it because they want to protect their wives and daugthers from the possible glances of men that could have bad intentions? Hard to judge.

It if you look at their religion and what it permits it all makes sense. Even their holy leader married a 9 year old and married a woman after killing her whole family not to mention her whole tribe. ending up with four wives. According to their scriptures if you rape a woman you must marry her so that just incentivises rape and if you murder a non believer and die while doing so you will have 70 virgins to serve you for eternity in the afterlife.

I've spent time in both Iraq and Afghanistan and a lot of it comes down to the Muslim beliefs. The Koran teaches they women are property and for the man's pleasure.
