I saved for my first one when I was still living at home and didn’t have expenses like rent and bills and insurance. I had a goal to buy it in Paris from the store on the Champs d’Elyse and upper the saving when I was simultaneously saving for my Europe holiday.
I love my designer bags but I am much more about quality over quantity. Nowadays I fall in love with a bag, make sure I love it, and then gradually save up. I think it makes me cherish them all the more. I don’t understand people who have hundreds and then don’t even get the chance to use them all!

I've never paid full price for a designer bag. I go to outlet malls to buy them. I also go to the "wealthy" neighborhoods in nearby cities and visit consignment stores there. They will often have barely used designer bags for a fraction of the cost. I once paid $50 for a $300 Michael Kors bag that still had the original tags on it. Granted, you may not be able to find the exact bag or brands you want at a consignment store, but I'm not picky and when I see something I like, I can at least afford it that way.
Often times we are blind sighted by the things we don't need, your bank account go fast (I think)... Since i don't shop like that.
Since i don't buy what i don't need, i have no prob. saving for what i like to treat myself.
i understand most women buy a lot of diff. handbags thats add up to one good bag.
So i buy one good bag rather than 20 reg. bags that would combine to about $50. - $100. each = $1k - $2k in a yr. to 2 yr. time frame.
so i spent $1 - $2k on a nice bag.
Also having so many bags will drive me nuts, too much clutter.
Quality vs. Quantity.Well my mom bought me my first one when I was 5. Then my aunt gave me a LouisVuitton one when I got older.
Then my mom bought me several more when I first started highschool.
I never bought one of my own but I want a Gucci one even though I hate purses.I only have two.. My first one was my Ted Baker - I'd gotten money from my godfather for my 21st (£100, because I don't see him alot) and put the other £30 in myself. There was a huge sale on, the bag I bought was usually £200+. My second one is my Coach - bought it in the York Designer outlet. Usually sold at £200+ too, got it for £90! So a mixture of having been gifted money and sales hunting.
Good luck in finding the bag of your dreams! ❤️I don't care about designer purses, I mean can't you just get a regular purse? I don't see a need for those things and probably never will, I'm just more of a minimalist than I am materialistic. It's an expensive sack of leather for God's sake, why would I spend a thousand dollars on that thing?
I don't own designer handbags. The most expensive I own is a Fossil crossbody bag. It was a gift.
You can find them at some second hand shops though.
Just remember, if you can't afford 5 of them, don't get 1 of them. Live within your means, don't go broke buying something you don't need.I dislike them, feels like a waste of money. Never understood what people were trying to schieve by flaunting some impractical piece of leather.
I got my brother's old backpack for free since it happened to fit my laptop perfectly. I think it was about 80 bucks new.Why pay so much for the skin of a tortured animal? you can pay for torture way less or maybe not at all.
If the design is what you care about you can gind plenty of similar bags. I own one that was similar to a Celine one, faux lether and I love it.My mum and dad got me one for my birthday it was Paul's Boutique. Now I look back it was a very chavvy, tacky brand but it was very popular at the time at school and mine was limited edition so all the other girls were super jealous
i dont care about designer bags but , the only reason i have them is from my aunt when she asked if we want them to sell or keep
Is it bad that I've never had one? Lol I only ever use backpacks
Zalando lounge has designer clothes up to 70% off. Or you could go to a designer outlet
I don't have designer bags and I don't want any either. It's a waste of money, often bought for superfical/materialisc purposes.
I don't own any designer handbags and even if I had the money, I wouldn't buy one as I think they're not worth it
You can buy a hundred things instead of spending $300 for a bagI could afford one but I don't want to. I rather save my money for travel
You can sell your kidney buy designer stuff and look good/feel good, a winwin situation
