Amman the Capital is a Big City and it has many life styles , visit before and see the country and visit his Family , to know him Better , Amman is Open and Free it has Coffe shops , Bars , etc... Name it... and no one can tell you you are a Girl and you can't go to any of these places , when you visit and see you will be Surprised ,
Marriege thats a Different story , if you are in Love with him , Sit with him and Talk no one can Judge him and give you the right Judgement cause we dont know him , you know him ,
* What is your Opinion About Marriege?
You Both Agree on what it should be and it shouldn't.
This has got to be a joke... you do know the Jordan is an Islamic nation, right? In Islamic nations, men have pretty much complete power over their wives. That, and there might be restrictions on whether you could leave the country without his approval, and in a divorce, he'd get any kids you two had.
Research life in the Middle East, Islam in the Middle East, and Sharia Law before you marry this guy and leave the USA!
Lol, I'm a natural born American citizen who's part Israeli. And that women confirmed some of what I was saying, as well. Also, Egypt is more modern than Saudi Arabia or Jordan, so the rules are less insane. And if Islam is such a moderate religion, why have so many been slaughtered in it's name? Lastly, how would 'real jews' be ashamed of me? They've used human shields and airstriked arab civilian neighborhoods when they had cause. They're not worried about being pussies like you are.
do not marry a Jordanian unless you do a check to see if he is a narcisst
please look online an make sure he doesn't have any traits cos if you don't you will be in a nightmare meaning he is fake he lies he is controlling he will abandon you at times make you feel rejected no happiness just he will steal your assets your nothing but an object its so deep so please keep your money safe never tell them what you have you really are nothing to them they have not emotions no empathy they think they are a god due
I'm Egyptian so I can explain this to you.
Arab men, generally (which I'm sure he is), like submissive women who follow their rules. You will live as a follower. You can't talk to other guys, he may not let you work because he's obsessed with the idea of a housewife, you will cook, clean and raise the kids, etc.. On the other hand, he'll do whatever he wants and you shouldn't complain.
I think you were raised in the US but an Arab because of your name. Since you starting questioning yourself, that means you're afraid. So, don't do it. You'll be unhappy. Period.
Ofcourse we do! We are independent and strong women. Not all of us are married and not all Arab men carry these stupid stereotypes. Some are very civilized and open-minded. Egyptians in general are the most moderate people among Arabs =)
lol A man have restrictions on your traveling outside the country? that has nthn to do with Islam. It's more of a country's rules. In Egypt, we had that but not anymore. About the kids, nope nope too. I know many Muslim Arab men who never saw teir kids because they married an American or any foreigner and she took them away. That's not Islam anyway. Islam is a very moderate religion, if one understands it.
I am a American and I'm married to a Jordanian man for 2yrs now and I love it he treats me with respect he very kind hearted does his best to make sure I'm happy he can get a little jealous even tho he tells me he not I find it adorable lol his family is very welcoming and caring
i am an American and i married a Jordanian man last year and i have know him for almost 3 years, he wants me to move to Jordan. his family is caring and accepting of me. yes he is jealous but he is a wonderful man and he wants to be with me but since so many hardships in Jordan he doesn't want to put me through it but he is conflicted because he really misses me so i am returning in 2 months with my young teenage son but i am wondering what we have to do to stay my husband said when i left before he could have prevented me from leaving but he only allowed so i could come back for my son. his son accepts me and already calls me Mom what do i have to do for me and my son to stay in Jordan this time
Very controlling. Don't do it because I swear to you that you'll regret it and women can't get divorces in Jordan, only if the man decides to or the court decides to. And you’re an adult, he can't tell you what to do.

Wow.. You must really be a spurned woman. ALL Jordanian men are super protective of their wife, kids, parents and family. This is their culture. Do some research first. They will protect and honor you to death.. However, follow the customs. If you don’t want to be a “cared for” housewife, stay in the USA, or wherever else. Period.
As a Jordanian i advice you to think this through, usually arab guys tend to fuck up in such situations.
Don't do it!! I speak from experience. Don't let anyone take away what you were born with - which is freedom... Not only that he will change when he is in his own country and the "romance" will soon fallout of the bottom of the empty glass!
Get ready to be his slave

Ask your parents.
You're 29 and don't have to marry someone you don't know. So down vote me but you're the one asking a stupid question that you really know the answer to, you're old enough to know better and to make your own decisions. If not I assume it's an arranged marriage - so you know exactly how this goes for the wife.
