I bought a boat (it was a steal, so didn't feel extravagant)... Bad idea, gave it away.
Do tuition and books count?
I bought myself a beautiful colored pearl necklace once for a fancy lunch. The ladies all complimented my necklace and I bragged that my husband bought it for me. He let the cat out of the bag though because apparently he hadn't noticed the pearls until all the fuss. 😂
Agreed! I could definitely own another home or two for what I've paid in tuition so far.
Thank you for the MHO ❤
An expensive shotgun.
@DonkeyDan. I just finished sitting on a M2 .50 cal machine gun range about an hour ago. The arousal has thankfully worn off lol

Flights to Japan. I live in the UK so it was a big trip. I went with my ex boyfriend when I was 21 a couple years in to our relationship. We went in 2019 so before COVID. We were there for 3 weeks. We went to a lot of places and ate a lot and it was definitely my version of 'extravagent' that doesn't include my car. When I was 18 and my classmates and I had just finished our A-Levels and graduated some of us also went to France and Italy for a couple weeks as a last hurrah before we went to full time jobs or university or further study. Being from the UK it was accessible for us to get there but we all felt rather grown up. Going to Italy and friends at 18 with friends was my first big solo thing and that felt pretty good and extravagant to me at the time. I also saved up and purchased a brand new phone for myself recently. I bought the iPhone 13 Pro just after Christmas end of last year. I was very pleased with myself. I only upgrade my phones every 3 years to get my money's worth so it was good to treat myself. 😊
Absolutely. I haven't been anywhere since 2019 but looking at further travel again. I have grown up along England and Scotland so being connected to Europe I know I can visit other countries but I'm still a bit hesitant on travel. I am looking to spend a month in Australia in late 2024 in the summer there and I'd also like to see New Zealand for a couple weeks. Japan was pretty awesome. I'd also like to see Sweden and The Netherlands.
Oh nice. I highly recommend Japan in their Spring or summer. Where in the UK are you from? 😊 I've grown up and lived around Glasgow, Edinburgh, Northumberland and Newcastle Upon Thyne.
* Tyne
Oh nice. I pop by London a couple times a year.
Fair enough. 😊 There's a lot to see here. Alnwick castle and Northumberland National Park are nice. I lived in that general area for 10 years until I was 19 and I've been living not far from Newcastle Upon Thyne since then. Glasgow is alright and so is Edinburgh. I was born and lived between those two places until I moved to Northumberland area. My accent is a weird English and Scottish hybrid.
That's awesome. Congrats! All the best 😊
Hmm.. does it have to be a specific object?
On my birthdays I've spent at least 7k ( just recently).
For my 30th next year i plan to spend 20k going to Germany, Italy, Greece, and Japan.
Im going with a friend so it'll be a bit cheaper, but if i ever spend more that 1.5k it's usually because I'm traveling/ celebrating somewhere.
Probably either my gold bracelet, my 1/4oz panda ring, possibly my big necklace or maybe the bottle of 26 year old Glenfiddich at £300-500 apiece
I suppose when I buy my Longines Hydroconquest that would likely take top spot but for now the other 4
My bikes? Had a couple mac computers (love them lol)
I remembered after I clicked submit. I do apologize. 😁
I paid $700 for a Candelabra of Tawnos card for Magic: The Gathering.
I got a free win at the local tournament because of it in one particular game. The card is ridiculously over-powered.
I feel I didn’t get out and buy much during Covid, but I guess recently an engagement ring purchase felt extravagant
Probably a rifle circa £10k
