Here is what's changed in the past few years. People are willing and do pay crazy amounts for anything! Years ago people would all stick to a perceived value and wouldn't think of paying more and most people were very close in their idea of its value. So if your thinking $30 make it $130.00 and watch them go crazy for it!

Well, it's a lot of China for $30. If it was just a couple of plates or so, then I'd say you got ripped off. I wouldn't buy it, though.

I collect stuff. Your set is small but if only using for yourself its adequate. If you bought it for collectability dishes are something that isn't appreciating. Does have a nice vintage look to it for sure
