+1 yI bought a nice good quality 3-piece suit that fit for $6. It had to be altered slightly, but brand new suits need to be altered also.
I've bought a lot of heavy winter shirts at thrift stores. I don't even know where people get those. I've looked all over and never see new shirts like that. Even Eddie Bauer which is an outdoors and camping store didn't have shirts like I find at thrift stores.
These days I buy a lot of books, music CDs and games at the online Goodwill. They have pretty good prices and a few of them have a big selection. The Seattle Goodwill has a big presence on Ebay. The Denver Goodwill has a lot also.
I know I've gotten some really good deals at thrift stores but I can't think of many right now.20 Reply

+1 yI don’t really shop at Thrift stores a lot, but that’s not because I have anything against them, rather, none are nearby where I live or at least I haven’t looked up if any are nearby. I have places where I usually go shop for my clothes and I haven’t changed due to habit and comfortability. I go to the mall to shop for clothes, going to different stores to pick out certain shirts, pants, etc.

+1 yA brand new treadmill! Got it last year from a local thrift store for a great deal.
... and yes, I use it regularly. Definitely a great investment. Thrift stores are great places to get fitness equipment and furniture.
I used to buy clothes there too- I mean brand new clothes that still had tags on them! Because people either changed their mind about them, or gained/lost weight and could no longer wear them. I just don't buy clothes as much since I mainly wear scrubs to work.11 Reply- +1 y
That's awesome. Is it a full size treadmill like you see at a gym?
Anonymous(36-45)+1 yTons. I do re-sale, so every week is something cool. Recently it was a pair of vintage Nikes, absolutely beat up, that I bought for 50 cents and re-sold for $95 as is. For myself, a $15 red overskirt that is covered all over with sequins and beads with a five foot train. It absolutely sparkles and twinkles all over in the sun. I'm obsessed. Ladies at the register wanted it for themselves. I plan on using it for a birthday photoshoot later on in the year.

I once bought a purse and a formal dress for a combined total of like 50 CAD, funny thing is they were also in fantastic condition and worth much more than the combined asking price. Needless to say, I was extremely happy.
