Do you know how much a First Class stamp costs? Give your best guess?

My wife buys the stamps that have no price on them. I have just been sticking them on letters without thinking how much they cost. I heard today the price will go up and how much they will cost. I remember buying 25 cent stamps to send letters to my girlfriend. I don't think I have bought them since. I was shocked at how expensive they are.

I think they are 58 cents right now. Going up to 60 cents tomorrow.

The USPS started making "forever" first class stamps in 2007. If you have stamps that don't have a denomination on them, they are "forever" stamps and are good forever, even when prices increase.

I have about 500 "forever" stamps so that I won't have to buy more for a long time. I paid less for them than they are worth now.

Wow, a year ago when this thread was made, they were 60 cents. Now they are 68 cents. But like someone else said, I bought a bunch of cool forever stamps back when they were 55 cents. Too many to ever use as I pay most bills on line now. You can also buy Forever stamps on eBay cheaper than 68 cents too. 😀

Going up to 60 cents. Seems like their inflation costs are being kept up with while the service is getting worse. I ordered something from eBay and it took 11 days for me to get it when it was sent 1st class. When I got it, it looked like it got stuck in some machinery for a few days. The labels had rub marks and ink all over it and it was torn but everything was still in it and nothing was damaged.

I remember my parents paying 19 cents a stamp years ago. Now they are going up to 60 cents. Not only did stamps go up but p. o. box fees also went up. Time for me to raise my rates again to cover all the extra costs

the dollar is worth less, so they are up in price like everything else... its slight of hand. around 56 cents. I don't use them often and have been going through my supply of forever stamps when needed.

They are on their way to 1.50 each in the not too distant future.
