On one of my birthdays my ex-mother-in-law brought my son over to my house to wish me happy birthday have you had a paper bag. He ran up to me give me a big hug and said happy birthday this is for you
His grandmother left and he kept telling me to open my present I said okay so I opened it up and there was a bag about 12 rocks instead of dumping them all out we went through them one of the time

And of course I kept telling him how much I like them and they were beautiful rocks and probably about the 5th or 6th Rock I pull out as I'm pulling it out it's kind of heavy but it was a gold nugget I asked him where he got it of course he didn't remember but he did say he could show me where he found them all but that was a very special moment because first of all because of my kid is and people would think that there would be meaningless a bag of rocks but like I said they were all beautiful rocks and they were given to me by him the gold nugget I gave it to his grandmother to save for him until we got older to do what he wanted with it but that was probably one of my best birthdays

For many different reasons but most of the time I forget that it is my birthday until the day after I'll remember about a week before it's coming up but then it's not until the day after two days after I remember it's my birthday and I really don't care about birthdays anyway but I do care about that bag of rocks

I remember I was 5 years old and my parents bought me a GameBoy. It was the special edition Pikachu version in yellow. They also bought the very first pokemon game ever produced Pokemon Yellow. It wasn't the most expensive gift I've ever recieved but I've never wanted anything more.

I got two.
When I was growing up it was just me and my mum, we were skint but we got by and one day when I was quite young she managed to buy (and wrap which is impressive) my first ever proper push bike. Sinse then I've done mountain biking, Motorcross and all sorts. She's a legend❤️

Second was my partner at the time more recently. I have very sensitive skin so most jewelry other than my watch irritated the f**k out of it. My partner researched all the ingredients in certain jewelry against common irritants and finally found me a beautiful chain necklace that doesn't do that.

Both made me incredibly happy but more than the presents it was the clear effort they went through.
