What the best gift you got for your birthday?

It’s a tie. My sister bought me a wallet that hit every mark for what i wanted from a new wallet. Apparently i had mentioned it once and she made a mental note of it. It was awesome because she got it perfectly right and i wouldn’t have bought myself a new wallet for years. There was nothing “wrong” with my old one and i take care of my things.
I also had a new girlfriend buy me a GPS watch. Similarly, she was with me when i was checking them out and him-hawing about the prices. I was kinda waiting for a decent sale, but there was a chance i’d never commit. Funnily, right before my birthday they went on sale and i saw it. But she had already bought me one and tried desperately to get me out of the store without spoiling the surprise. I asked her if she at least took it back for a partial refund. She didn’t. She paid full price for the damn thing just cuz i wanted it. We’re not together anymore but i still have the watch. The band is broken and i have to charge it daily. But it’s a reminder that maybe i was truly loved once.

One year my boyfriend took me out shopping for my birthday and bought me whatever I wanted. What I especially liked about it was sharing the day with him because he usually doesn’t enjoy clothes shopping with me but he went around the whole day without complain once. It was very sweet. And that night he took me out to dinner.
