This morning I had an outing with my coworkers and on a lunch break, I decided to go shopping.
I bought so many nice things, I feel so happy,
Doesn’t it make you the happiest?

I did just buy a new powerful gaming PC, along with peripherals, and the fun part for me was researching all the different components and making decisions about what is important for me. I really enjoy comparing products and weighing the options.
But in general, material goods don't bring me nearly as much happiness as other things in life.

The specs I ended up with:
Motherboard (MSI MEG Z390 Godlike): four PCIe 3.0 x16 slots, one PCIe 3.0 x1 slot, six SATA III ports, a U. 2 port, and three M. 2 slots.

4 TB SSD storage
32 GB DDR4 RAM
i9 9900K CPU, 8 core, 16 thread, 3.60 GHz, max 5.0 GHz
EVGA GeForce RTX 3080ti FTW3 Ultra Gaming GPU
7 fans & Corsair H150i 360mm radiator (liquid cooling system)
I combined that with wireless mouse, keyboard, and went with a 32" QHD wide monitor with 165 Hz refresh and 1 millisecond motion blur reduction (MBR) and G-Sync. A few other items like an additional external fan and power strip, and my shopping spree was complete.
Seems to me you haven't learned yet that material wealth doesn't actually make you happy. Maybe it's temporarily making you feel more happy but only when you have good health, love and support arround you from your loved ones. If either one of these things isn't doing great and is causing concerns got you...
For example..,.
Do you still think shopping is going to make you happy when your love partner died in a car accident or when you just received the results of your medical health check-up and the Doctor tells you that you have cancer thats needs urgent medical threatment? Would shopping still make you feel happy after receiving that terrible diagnose you think?
Let me know what you think about it pls 🤔
I harmte going to stores. I like to know exactly what I want, drive to the store and buy it and grab a Pepsi for the ride home.
Yeah I kind of share those sentiments. I don't like making shopping into an entertainment experience. I like to take my stuff home and mess with it a bit but other than that even the stuff I buy is used for fun activities. The stuff itself is not a fun activity nor is paying for it. Interestingly. I like your example except I would substitute a coke for the Pepsi.
@msc545. The irony is that most of the slavers were black. Regardless we cannot go back 200 years. There is a culture of victimhood prevalent in America. This started in the mid 2000s. The reason certain groups were poor was because the white man had itvin for them even though they were eligible for special considerations that others could not get. Even with all the special programs, educational opportunities and Affirmative Action these groups failed to thrive. The only thing liberals could do after their 'War on Poverty" was such a dismal failure was blame it on whitey.
Depends what I'm shopping for and how hard the hunt is. But your haul sounds very fun.
I went out last week to my favourite home store. They're a discount store and has constantly rotating inventory, so you never know what you'll find, which is not great if you are specifically needing something, but it's tons of fun if you are just roaming around, seeing what they have.
I got a new black raincoat which is great so far (they also sell clothes, too), a wooden bowl with beautiful white veining in it (to put, like, fresh avocados in it, to ripen them not in the fridge - my husband even loves it), and some less interesting but useful items. I did enjoy it, but the guilt of the money spent does detract significantly, unfortunately. It is a great way to get a brief natural high, though, isn't it.

It’s okay, when it’s something I want. I’m not really a bargain hunter. I’ve long suspected that’s why I get good treatment when I shop, merchants know people like me don’t give that much of shit about price. Get what I need and get on with my business. Like when I grocery shop, I typically throw shit in the cart that looks healthy or nutritious. I’m not stressing about dollars per calorie on price tags.

No.
I despise the consumerist culture that most of the world has fallen into. I'd much rather make something - and something practical - than purchase useless items that other people produced. Or, even crazier, I'd rather just spend time with family.
I guess shopping for things that I want and don't feel like I'm breaking the bank, sure I feel good haha. What did you end up buying?
Some heels, boots and sneakers, a dress, cute pants, tops and a perfume. 🧚🏻♀️
I do haha.
A little bit. I like buying sportscars, and surfboards, and guitars. I don't do this very often.
What did you buy?
I bought some very nice heels, boots and sneakers, a dress, classy pants, tops and a perfume. Glad my lunch break only lasts for an hour 🤭
Counted the shoes 🤣 I have up to 45 pairs. Thought I’d have more! I should donate some.
How many do you have?
Shopping does make me happy, yes.
But do you know what makes me even happier?
Women. Money. Women. Sex. Women. Sandy beaches. Women. Thailand. Did I mention women?
I think women who go shopping a lot are very appealing.
Not really. It might be a temporary high, but being with friends, learning a hard song, defeating a much higher rated chess player, and catching a great wave make me happiest.
i don't know if it's happiness for me but it sure is fun! just finished my Christmas shopping and it's not even Halloween... so i'm looking everyday as if i forgot a present. it's pretty tiring
No, no if fucking doesn't.
It pisses me off that I'm spending my hard earned money on inflated prices for inferior products.
Funny that it's mostly women who enjoy frivolous spending.
no, i just feel guilty for spending money on things i don't really need.
Not really something I like, but what makes everyone happy is personal, so as long as you’re not ruining your finances, have fun.
No, not at all. It's nice sometimes, but more often ots tedious and annoying
Getting new video games does make me feel good ill say that lol.
I rarely buy anything other than the essentials that I need. I am not a shopper.
Not really. I mostly just buy things I need and video games, and rarely are games worth the money these days.
Sometimes. xxoo
Nah I've never been into shopping
Depends on what I am buying.
No, the last thing I need is more junk
Hell yes
Not at all, it's a hassle
Making you happy, makes me happy. :)
i hate shopping and malls with a passion 😂
No, its just another chore.
