Should I buy one game at a time or buy many games at once when there’s a sale?

Whenever i see sales on like steam or ps5, i want to buy multiple games cuz they’re on sale for a good price or just really cheap. But is that good? Cuz my dad always tells me “why am i buying many games at once when technically i won’t be playing the rest right away? It just sits in my library” what do you think? Can i have some advice?

i saw the comment about you being 24 and still playing games like that's an issue, which is not. keep on playing 💪

i suggest making a list of the games you absolutely want to play and if you'll make time for them. research the games and see if they're worth the buy. buying one at a time makes more sense than buying them all together, it makes it easier to focus on one before turning your attention to another. I know the temptation to buy them all at once, which is fine, but first look into things and see if it's worth risking it!!

@etsylo i usually switch between pc and console. I have switch, ps5 and a pc. Quick question, during a sale, how do you know if a game is worth buying then or you should just wait? Like in case they go cheaper

@MusicTokuXX it depends on both the price, the reviews, the length time of the game, and if you really want to play it and not just to have it.

i would buy games but I've literally have just been Subnautica without having to pay for it. it's my way to go even if unethical.

Depends how many you buy. If you're buying 2 or 3 that you can finish before the next sale, get them all now. If you're buying 10, they'll be cheaper by the time you work your way through them, so that'd be too many at once.

Depends some games are rarely on sale so either you grab them once you can or wait a long time.

Also depends whats the discount.

And most importantly how desperately you want them and if you can afford them.

I bought Dead Space, Sonic Frontiers, WWE 2K23, and Sonic Forces. I actually decided to play Sonic Frontiers as with games that I buy on PS5 on sale, it just in my library for months. Probably won't buy any more games until the end of next year.

Buying anything that you can't return and you don't know you want is a gamble where you'll get no money back. It's sensible to research first, especially a bit of gameplay on video. It's a puzzle that there aren't virtual game rentals.
