Well there are thermoses doing the same job but I wouldn't get the same quality right
What do y'all think of stanley cups?
Well there are thermoses doing the same job but I wouldn't get the same quality right
I have 2 of the big 1 liter thermoses. The big long green steel with a screw on cap and cup on top. I only put water in them. They are made close to me. The first one is all beat up from dropping off my truck steps all of the time because I forget I put them there while I do my pre inspection. I still use it everyday for the past 8 years. The second one I use for kayaking and it still looks new after about 3 years. They are lifetime warranted but the original is obviously not normal wear and tear so I haven't followed up on the warranty. I don't know about the mug college thing I keep hearing of.
How long do you really need to keep a drink cold? I mean eventually you're going to drink it, yes? I've got dozens of stainless steel tumblers that I got free over the years. The yeti ones are always pretty impressive. I've never thought "wow I seriously need to upgrade here" about any of them, and all of mine are free. I don't see the appeal other than great marketing on part of stanley to drive up hype
I hope my Detroit Red Wings win another stanley cup before I croak.
All my yetis would keep that frozen in a room temperature setting for at least 8-12 hours
Don’t buy just because they are popular. Have your own mind and taste and buy if you really need it and will use it.

I don't think I've had that brand of cup before. I've grabbed a couple of things from YETI and found those to be good quality. I have the coffee one like below, a wine style mug for camping, screw top style similar to a pop bottle for water, and a cooler. The cooler is freak'n phenomenal, a block of ice lasts about 5-6 days.
I do not have an opinion on their product - but I am fascinated by their story.
They went from a successful 110-year-old business doing about $73M a year in sales in 2019 - and then took off like a rocket ship to a projected $750M in 2023 - most all of that based on their rollout of the 40-ounce Quencher.
If you have not read their story - below is the link - I think it is remarkable.
I think it’s a fad. Cups like this have been around for a long time. If you can afford it by all means buy it. It’s like when Yeti was a major thing. A lot of times the knock off brands worked just as well if not better. I know because I had both.
I don’t have a Stanley. But I would say. If you don’t have the money for it. Maybe go for a cheaper option. Or save up.
Trends tend to come and go. They will probably be out of style and something else will take it’s place
Expensive does not mean better quality. I'd pass on the stanley cups, and go with something much cheaper.
The official Stanly Cup, by the way, is the huge trophy given to the champion hockey team in the NHL each year. It has an interesting history, having been lost, stolen and dropped into a river. It still survives.
Well, you can TRY to buy it, but I think the NHL might have something to say about that; you want it, you need to win it.
You can probably buy a replica, though I don't think it's insulated.
There are other double wall insulated cups that do the same thing that are cheaper. Otherwise, see if you can find one on sale. I don't personally use a Stanley cup, but I use a Simple Modern double wall insulated bottle that also keeps things cold very well and is a fraction of the price
Don't waste your money for an overpriced fashion item. There are dozens of cheaper versions from other manufacturers that do the same job just as well.
it's big...
I've had a 40 Oz insulated mug for years that keeps drinks hot for 12 hours and cold drinks cold for 10 hours. I paid 13 dollars for it at Walmart. Who needs a name brand when it will do the same job or better for less money
Do you have to buy them from a professional hockey player?
I have a steel mug I bought at LL Bean that works just as good.
It's a thermos that keep stuff hot or cold.
I've had generic ones for years that work just fine
Another overpriced fad that's be in a thrift shop soon enough
They’re sturdy, they’re high quality and they work. Naturally, people are going to hate on them.
I like Stanley's but yeah they're pricey. I don't know what to say ig it depends on how much (if any @collegelife 🥲) you have
Stanley is alllowed to have all the cups he wants. Just not mine. #colddeadhand
You will probably find cups of similar quality cheaper since Stanley is the fad right now.
they're actually pretty nice and they work really well. I just hate that they're now "trendy".
I thought it was an ice hockey 🏒 competition lol
too much hype in my opinion. I'm sure they are fine cups like all the other popular cooler cups. I love my Yeti's, but I wouldn't pay over the market price for them. Not sure why these ones are so popular
haha well that's good to know if your car ever catches on fire. At least you will have ice while you wait for the fire department :P
haha... I'd say just buy a Yeti if you can't find one of those cups on sale. They both do the same thing :)
