Twice the bought items were incomplete and once I received a pirated CD instead of an original game.

Also it was a regular Windows game, nothing with region codes.

I don't know how to explain it. I bought a DVD in Chile of an Iron Maiden concert and wanted to watch it on my big TV, and it wouldn't play.
This was YEARS ago. Then a few weeks ago I wanted to watch a French movie and I found a TV of it for sale, and it said it won't play on an American DVD player unless you do something to it. I hadn't watched foreign DVDs in years and I totally forgot you have to do that to it

Yeah, that's region coding that can be changed in some DVD drives. But computer games on Windows or MacOS don't have that.

Ah okay! But yeah, that's always the risk of ordering online. I never use Ebay, I use Amazon. It seems more trustworthy, I usually don't have issues with it. Ebay used to have a seller rating. I don't know if they still do. The guy probably didn't mention that it was a bootleg because that's illegal. As for the incomplete items, it happens I guess

Well one of them was a Canadian company. But the used book store in the UK had cheaper deals, yes. And the "Used" quality was actually nice
