Handmade gifts for Christmas or any other occasion?

Like anything artsy or jewelry, made from wood, paint, flowers, sea shells?

I am a research student and don't have much money but I am very good at crafts and painting. I never had a girlfriend before and recently got one, I wonder whether she will like it or think that I am cheap.

I always look forward to receiving something from her during the holidays and other special occasions.

I love them! I'm not a kid anymore if i want something I'm gonna buy it, but a hand crafted gift is so sweat. I'm assuming they made it them selves by the way lol
