Yeah i would. It just depends on the person. My close friends, family, or just anyone that means something to me can get a gift from me regardless of whether they gave me something or not.

I give because I want to, not because I want something back. But if I give a gift it's most likely because they have given to me in many other ways... friendship, support, love, laughter etc.

Depends on the occasion. I’m not expecting my roommate to get me anything for Christmas when we don’t know each other super well, but it won’t stop me from getting her a gift card so she can buy more concert tickets bc I know she likes to go to those 🤷🏼‍♀️ I see no reason not to spread a little joy here and there for the holiday.

I give gifts to my immediate family and my best friend whether they gift me or not, and that's it. I'm not made of money, have a lot of expenses, so I can't just drop a ton of money on every single family member, so if they want to buy for me, cool, if not I get it. I've never said anything, they've never said anything. Some gift me, some don't. People put too much pressure on Christmas anyway, so I don't stress about it anymore like I used to. Its far more important I'm able to take care of myself come the new year and not be broke just so someone's feelings may not be hurt by a lack of gift.

Yes, it’s about giving and not receiving , I don’t buy gifts expecting to receive , I buy gifts out of the kindness of my heart , so I don’t expect anything in return , just a thank you is all I need to be honest , but if they do give me a gift in return , I will say Thank go for thinking about me you didn’t have to do that , for whatever reason I always say that lol

Yup, all the time. I don't expect anything not even a ty most times. I do it for a multitude of reasons. Sometimes for selfish reasons so I don't think it's right to expect something in return. An acknowledgement would be nice for bare minimum and at times I don't even get that lol. That's okay because that's not the point in gift giving.

There are those that love giving gifts. I have a couple sisters like this. They're not rich, one isn't anyway, and they both get things, trinkets that cost a dollar or three to give as presents. Then there are folks like me. I don't like shopping except for food or something for a special person. I don't like giving gifts except to very close personel.

I never hold birthday parties or special events… I didn’t even have a graduation party so I never have a ‘reason’ to receive a gift from my friends though I give all my friends gifts…

Tbh none remember my birthday or wish me though one friend voiced their frustration and now get wishes & gifts while I never spoke up….

Really only give gifts to my husband and child as all gift giving does is obligate people who maybe dont have muchmoney.. I made up 3 shoeboxes and 3 hampers for charity.

Yes, I constantly do it. If I see something I know someone I know will like, I will buy it for them. I never expect anything in return.
