And just fired a bunch of people (1100)... which helps pay for that package and prop up the stock price. Maybe that was relevant to improve efficiency, but the pay package is insane.

I don't like their products and only spend gift cards I get for free. It's overly sweet junk and generally, the coffee is not good. I buy at specialty local shops or make my own.

Put your $ where you wish... I don't support this kind of American corporate greed and stupidity. Fire the board, pull back their stock options.

I protest this and other such greedy companies... no more shopping there

This is good we need merit. I am happy that Trump won and Elon Musk is firing those lazy federal workers and cutting benefits. Men are getting too lazy and comfortable nowadays. We need to go back to old days when men were men and you either survived or die.

Starbucks had a union because of the woke left and AOC, so we get a bunch of lazy workers who don't show up to work and take advantage of the union. It is the same as the lazy federal workers. They don't do shit and take advantage of Unions protecting them. Same thing with the teachers unions where you cannot fires the teachers in the public schools who do nothing and wait for their cushy retirement benefits.

There are too many people who need to be fired who exploit these workers benefits. Those Starbucks employees needed to be fired.

That's true, I always appreciated when the company fired people and cut out the fat when it gets bloated and hard to get decisions and work done. Trim is better.
But Starbucks cut out corporate jobs. who knows what those people do.
It may be tough out there for a while... so many being laid off...

Managing a company does deserve higher pay, but not annual $300 mn. That is outrageous.

Median is around 40,000$ annual so we need laws to cap salary at no more than 10 times median now... $400,000 annual salary. Which will lower median but the line was already set at 400,000$.
