$1250? I just paid more than that for a 55" OLED TV, and $3500 for a new living room sofa. Give me a serious budget and I would get a serious driving / flight simulation system with the best available VR goggles and motion seat. Or find a house with a room large enough for an eight-foot pool table. You can get a great used pool table for not much money. Add a pinball machine (about $5K) and a dart board ($100), a poker table and a large supply of chips.

I think I would probably buy a new OLED computer monitor. One that is about 50 in and has 4K. OR. I might buy an upgraded new graphics card in the 5000 series from Nvidia. Like maybe a 5090 card if I could actually find one for sale under about $10,000 that was not instantly snapped up by some shitty scalper.

Converting that to my country's valuta, it doesn't seem like that much to make a full make-over or to put up a brand new woman den.

But I would want to make a complete hobby room, a big work station, several screens, two or three.

A big ass desk, and one or several chairs so I can shift my position as I seem to see fit (I change position a lot.)

Maybe a reading corner as well.

I am putting in new floors to replace the vinyl floors which never look very clean. I found a great company to put them in, very reasonable pricing. I bought oak wooden planks that come with a cork backing. No more scrubbing those other floors!

Simplicity is a good thing, like I could put a mini fridge & jukebox & stereo boombox & weights & crap though would definitely feel ‘cramped’ and ‘too much’ so keeping it simple, tidy, tasteful, and humble is a plus. Good luck on your floors, wish ya the best in your endeavors.

Assuming I already have a gaming PC in my woman den, I would add LED lights, a gaming chair, plants (especially the ones from the Ivy family), a mini fridge, a wine bar, and snacks.

Yikes. On my first and only ski trip, I tore my ACL in half and 2 surgeries and a year of PT later, I am in great physical shape again, but the PTSD from that incident is still bad enough that if people talk about skiing, I have to literally leave the room...

A couple of years ago a guy in our chalet had an accident and messed up his elbow. There was a long list of screws and plates that were needed to fix it. (We met one of his group this year, to find out he's not interested any more!)

The surgery cost 450 Euros, which he got back from his insurance.
